My Running Mates

  • Served on the village board since 2013 in many capacities, including as chair of the recreation board, finance committee, and police committee. He has also served as the board liaison to the Village Court and as a member of the Eastern Onondaga Critical Response Committee.
  • Led efforts to significant village taxpayer savings include switching to energy-efficient LED streetlights as well as to a new information technology (IT) provider that’s projected to save nearly $20,000 per year.

I am passionate about public service, which is why I am running for re-election.

My full-time job is professor at SUNY Morrisville where I teach business courses, advise students, advise the business leaders’ club, and serve on various college-wide committees. I have also started and run small businesses and have a deep understanding of the value that begins with quality customer service.

My wife, Lisa, and I have raised our four children here in Manlius, where we have lived since 2007.

  • Village Centre:
    • Worked on updating the windows, doors,  HVAC, and security system.
    • Contributed to ensuring our buildings are of value and run efficiently, and that our staff is safe.
  • Department of Public Works:
    • Equipment replacement and maintenance programs are a top priority.
    • Continually update our trash and recycling collection system to provide efficiency for residents, as well as safety and increased productivity for our workers, while removing unsightly trash from our streets.
    • Renovation and maintenance of the Swan Pond and surrounding area.
  • Village beautification:
    • Established a village beautification committee.
    • Formed new parks and enhanced landscaping in existing parks.
    • Planted street trees and placed flower planters along main thoroughfares.
    • Designed and enhanced the Veterans Memorial Park at the Village Center.

I have worked and will continue to work hard to improve the quality of life in the village by maintaining fiscal responsibility, supporting local businesses and organizations, and working with other local and regional groups.

My no. 1 priority is that the village board upholds financial responsibility for the residents of Manlius, by streamlining and balancing our budget while maintaining our infrastructure.

As a 30-plus year resident, business owner and owner of a historic commercial building I have a unique perspective on village government and village life. I know what a beautiful place this is to live, raise a family, work and serve.
